DeLorean Eurofest 2006
 
Welcome to the DeLorean Eurofest website
 
The Delorean Eurofest 2006 is an international meeting to celebrate the 25th birthday of the Delorean Motor car. This unique sports-car with it’s gullwing doors and stainless skin was manufactured in Dunmurry, Belfast from 1981 until 1983. In total around 9000 cars were manufactured.
 
The Eurofest 2006 took place in and around Belfast from May 25 until may 29 2006. There were around 300 visitors from 16 different countries. USA, Canada, Ireland, Scotland, UK, The Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, France, Switzerland and even visitors from Australia and the Bahamas. There were around 80 DeLoreans present. One of them was Pilot 25, one of the earliest production cars and a replica from the movie “Back to the future”.
 
But first, lets introduce ourselves. We are Frank, Jolanda and a beautiful DeLorean Motor Car, built in November 1981. We all live in the Netherlands. We took a ferry from the Netherlands to the UK and then drove all the way to Stranraer. There we took a ferry across the Irish sea to Belfast. We left on may 24th and returned on may the 31st. in Belfast I wrote a daily report, and uploaded it to my web-server, so that all the people at home could watch what we were doing. After I got home I added information, and slightly changed the layout. But the story remained the same

I also published a story about and from former DMCL employees. I felt the need to do so, because they are a forgotten group of people. And without them, this website or Eurofest wouldn’t even exist.
 
I would like to thank the DOA for organizing everything, all the attendants at the meeting and special thanx to all the former DeLorean employees for their stories and support. You were the best!!!!!!!!!!!!! We feel for you.
